Course Prerequisites

Step 1 – Complete PADI eLearning®

Start by completing the online learning portion of the course. Learn the theory and techniques of underwater photography at your own pace using your phone, tablet, or computer.

Topics include:

• Camera equipment and settings
• Composition and framing
• Underwater lighting
• Shooting techniques
• Marine life photography tips

Step 2 – In-Water Training

Practice your new skills underwater with a PADI Professional. You will learn how to:

• Prepare and care for underwater camera equipment
• Improve buoyancy while taking photos
• Use natural light and strobes effectively
• Capture clear underwater images and videos
• Photograph marine life respectfully and safely
