Getting Here

Mango’s Dive Center is located in Mango’s Resort, on Barretto Beach in Barrio Barretto, a Barangay of Olongapo, Zambales.  Getting here is super easy.  Of course, if you need any additional information, or our help, don’t hesitate to contact us.   Also remember this is the Philippines.  Things change without notice or flat out just do not work.  

Mango’s Private Car/Van Service:  We can arrange a private car/van from Mango’s Resort to pick you up from the airport or your hotel, and bring you right to our door. As of August 31, 2023 transportation to or from Angeles City (CRK) is 4500 Pesos, to/from Manila (MNL) is 6500 Pesos.  Pick-up anywhere else in Luzon is by arrangement.  These fees are all inclusive per vehicle and include tolls.  Note: Private car prices can change due to fuel and/or toll increases.  

Your Private Car, the trip from Manila to Mango’s is approximately 3 – 4 hours. Take the North Luzon Expressway thru to the Dau exit. Then follow the signs to the SCTEX and Subic. Travel along the SCTEX to Subic Freeport and then follow the signs to Olongapo and Iba. Mango’s is on the left (beach) side of the road, approx. 2km past Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, which is at the beginning of Barrio Barretto and on the right hand side of the highway as entering Barretto.

Manila to Subic – by Bus

By Victory Liner Bus, the trip from Manila to Subic takes approximately 4+ hours. Buses run from the Victory Liner Pasay City Terminal to Olongapo every 30 minutes. (Approx: php250) For terminal information and departure times click here.  There is a bus service from Terminal 3 airport terminals called UBE Express – (php150) that will take you to the Victory Liner Pasay City Victory Liner Terminal.  Just exit the departure terminal and their kiosk are located outside.  Just go to the kiosk and ask.  You can also take an airport taxi to the terminal.  It will cost around php200 and take about 15 minutes.  (Make sure the driver turns on the meter.  Do not pay too much..make sure he turns on the meter)

Clark to Subic – by Bus. 

Victory Liner offers an express point-to-point bus service to Olongapo to and from Clark Airport.  More information here >  You can also catch this bus at SM Clark Mall.  If you are in Angeles City, you can also just take a trike, taxi or jeepney to the Dau Bus Terminal and take the Victory Liner bus to Olongapo.  The buses leave on the hour.

Once you arrive in Olongapo, you need to make your way to Barrio Barretto.  If on your way to Olongapo your bus stops at Harbor Point Mall on the Subic Freeport,  (Victory Liner – SCTEX)  you can get off there and take a taxi to Mango’s. (₱400)

From the Olongapo Victory Liner Terminal you can take a 20 minute trike ride (about ₱200)…or you can take a taxi.  Or, if you are a little more adventurous, you can take a Blue Jeepney.  They queue right at the Victory Liner station to begin their journey to Subic Town, passing through Barrio Barretto. (₱25). If your Victory Liner is headed to IBA from Olongapo, you can also just stay on the bus and ask the conductor to let you off at Mango’s in Barrio Barretto. 

Clark/Angeles City to Olongapo by UV Express

UV Express are small vans that run every hour during the day (or when full) from their terminal at the Dau Bus Station to their terminal in Olongapo.  (Near the Olongapo Bus Station).  The cost is under ₱250 each way and they are usually pretty quick (1.5 hours). Please bear in mind that these vans leave when full so sometimes you may have to wait for the next one leaving if the one you wanted has already left.  Also, they do not accommodate a lot of luggage unless you choose to buy another seat to put it on.

Clark/Angeles City to Barrio Barretto by Angel’s Bakery Van

Angel’s Bakery in Angeles City has a location in Barrio Barretto kiddy-corner across the street from Mango’s.  They run a van round trip every day leaving their AC bakery around 7am and arrive at their Barretto bakery around 9am.  The van returns to AC, leaving Barretto at 2pm.  They can accommodate usually around 4 passengers.  The cost is ₱600 one-way and must be booked and paid in advance, in person, to guarantee a seat.  

Manila to Orion to Olongapo by Ferry & Bus. (8/31/22 – Currently not running)

1Bataan runs a ferry service from the Esplanade Seaside Ferry Terminal in Manila to the Port of Orion on the Bataan Peninsula 2 times a day.* After docking in Orion, you take a shuttle to the Victory Liner Bus  and then the bus to the Olongapo.  (then a Jeep/Trike/Taxi to Mango’s)
